Foil Stamping and Embossing

Foil stamping is a special kind of printing – it can be used strictly for its utilitarian properties or as a directly glamorous treatment on almost any design. Pantone inks, with the exception of gold and silver, are transparencies and will disappear over darker paper surfaces. A foil stamp is opaque, which makes things like white lettering over black paper possible. A foil stamp is also a great way to dress up a design that calls for polished look – a logo rendered in a metallic foil stamp is immediately eye-catching speaks to a sense of occasion.

Foil stamping can be had in a variety of colors and finishes. Many New Yorkers like a black-on-black look – a black gloss foil stamp on matte black paper is stealthy and formal. A clear gloss foil stamp on any surface lends a design richness and depth. Color foil stamps can be playful or elegant, or make the simplest logo design effortlessly stand out.

Any combination of blind emboss, letterpress or foil can be used. Our capabilities include producing foil stamped and/or embossed labels, roll or sheet stock. We can handle various thicknesses and types of substrate and can work with sizes up to 14 x 22 inches.
